Final day in @ZionNPS. Had a chance to make it out to see Kolob Canyons this afternoon before heading out. My brain isn’t ready to trade the dwarfing sensation of the canyons for the towering skyline of DC. I’m so moved by the beauty of this place and the incredible people I’ve met who are dedicated to protecting these places… I don’t know how else to put it: I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. #NPFintheParks
I knew I’d be in a remote part of the country, but it’s sobering to realize that there are in fact places where you don’t have connectivity 24/7. What a strange and incredible feeling! Sharing this from the comfort of a cooled cafe in Springdale. Learning so much… So very overwhelmed by the wealth of information I’m absorbing. I’ll share more later, but for now, greetings from #ZionNationalPark!
And then this happened. Ryan Gosling and his gorgeous pup, George. Good lookin’ guys, cute dogs, and amazing National Parks. Can it get any better? I submit that it cannot!

Learning to fish can be tough, but it’s infinitely more fun when you can take a break by playing with mom’s tail! The Smithsonian’s National Zoo welcomed a new fishing cat kitten on May 17, 2013. Keepers chose to name the new fisher Wasabi. Though they don’t yet know the gender of the little one, the animal care staff opted for a name that suited the spunky kitten!
Passionate about culture, conservation and public relations. This is what I find interesting and entertaining; these are my random thoughts. If you’d like to see my written reflections, visit rociodawn.com.
